Our ISA Certified Arborist thoroughly examines your site and recommends plantings based on your preferences (shade, wildlife attraction, or aesthetics) and location, microclimate, soil type, soil analysis if warranted, etc. Delivery, installation, aftercare instructions and a planting guarantee are included.

The Plant Native website has a ‘starter’ list of native plants for NH and VT including their sun and moistures preferences as well as potential height. We also recommend the tree selection guide sponsored by the USDA Forest Service. And the University of Connecticut has a really nice Plant Database.

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center has a comprehensive database of VT and NH native trees and shrubs.  See our GreenWords newsletter for some of our arborist’s favorites.

We avoid planting invasive species of trees and shrubs and make recommendations for alternatives.  Visit The Nature Conservancy online for more information on invasives.
